Prior to photovoltaic system installation to be located on the Science Technology building, Smith Group commissioned Interactive Resources to prepare structural calculations to verify if the local framing of the existing structure could support the array and to prepare structural calculations for the anchorage. The design portion included preparation of structural drawings showing the location and details for the anchorage. We also responded to code enforcement agency (DSA) comments and provided Construction Administration services. Wind loads were in accordance with the provisions of ASCE 7 and as augmented by the wind tunnel tests. Seismic loads were in accordance with the provisions of the California Building Code (CBC).
