Interactive Resources was awarded an On-Call Architectural and Engineering contract from the Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit). As part of this contract, Interactive Resources remodeled the AC Transit Customer Service Center located on the main floor of the district’s General Office building at 1600 Franklin Street in Oakland, California. The Customer Service Center provides AC Transit riders with bus passes and clipper products for use on the public transportation system.

This remodel provides a more modern aesthetic, improved safety design of the ticket counter wall system, significantly improved ergonomics and increased workspace for staff at the ticket counters along with ADA accessible workstations/customer stations. An abundance of windows provides natural daylighting and create a connection to the neighborhood outside. The modern aesthetic consists of a light and clean material palette, balanced with natural elements and materials. The break room includes 3Form acoustic panels and there is a new photo alcove area in the lobby.

Services performed by Interactive Resources included space planning, and architectural schematic design, design development, construction documents, technical specifications and construction administration services.
