In Remembrance of Cal Chooey
Calvin (Cal) Chooey, AIA, a 22-year employee and principal of Interactive Resources, passed
away on October 5, 2008, following a short illness.

Cal had more than 40 years of experience in architectural investigation and design. His expertise encompassed roof systems, decks, walls, curtain walls, windows, and foundations, including
water testing and forensic diagnostics. At Interactive Resources, he was responsible for destructive and non-destructive testing, sample collection, photographic documentation, technical reports, water infiltration testing, and waterproofing technical support.
Cal was a Vietnam-era veteran, having served in the Army Corps of Engineers in Thailand. He received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Heald College and a Bachelor of Arts in Management from Golden Gate University. He was a licensed architect in California and a member of the American Institute of Architects.
Before working for Interactive Resources, Cal was employed by Golden Rain Foundation, Caulking & Waterproofing Corporation, Botsai, Overstreet & Associates, Haranda and Meu, AIA, and Silver, Boutmy and Weisbach.
As a principal project manager, Cal Chooey participated in hundreds of diagnostic and repair projects at Interactive Resources, including Oak Grove Apartments, Healdsburg, California; North Beach Malt House, San Francisco, California; Keys Condominiums, Walnut Creek, California; Gramercy Towers Condominiums, San Francisco, California; Ocean Beach Condominiums, San Francisco, California; The Landings Apartments, Oakland, California and 2610 Orchard Office Building, San Jose, California.
Cal will be greatly missed by his colleagues at Interactive Resources and his many friends and clients with whom he worked.
