Awarded Contract with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA)
Virginia Avenue Transit Center (VATC) Bridging Design Services

Interactive Resources recently was awarded a contract with GSA to provide comprehensive architectural and engineering design services for the Virginia Avenue Transit Center at the San Ysidro Land Port of Entry (SYLPOE). The SYLPOE is one of the busiest land ports in the world. A new transit center will be constructed on the west side of the Port at Virgina Avenue. This transit center will be adjacent to the new West Pedestrian building and together will provide an additional pedestrian border crossing. This project is part of a much larger three-phased expansion and reconfiguration project estimated at $500 million.

The design consists of the widening of Virgina Avenue to be able to accomodate buses, taxis, jitneys, personal vehicles and pedestrians who travel beteween the U.S. and Mexico through the port facility.
