Interactive Resources was recently awarded a contract to provide a facility condition assessment of the Marin Center Campus in San Rafael, California. The purpose of the FCA is to:
- Evaluate building envelopes and all general building systems for maintenance/upgrade to existing systems, and to inspect and analyze the overall structural condition of this facility.
- To then recommend upgrades, assess accessibility and code related items for violation and upgrade/compliance recommendations, and to evaluate mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for code related violations and recommend upgrades.
As part of this contract, we will develop a tool for cataloging assets and equipment and create a systematic plan for prioritizing ongoing maintenance. The buildings include the Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium, the exhibit hall, Showcase Theater, concessions buildings, meeting rooms, maintenance facility and the fairgrounds. A report will be provided of our findings and recommendations for repair and maintenance.
This analysis with cost estimates will be utilized by the County and Cultural Services Administration to determine appropriate options for current and future uses for the facility.
