Woodrow Wilson Elementary School
West Contra Costa Unified School District
Richmond, CA
Interactive Resources is serving as the architect-of-record and the structural engineer-of-record providing comprehensive architectural design, master planning, structural engineering services, and construction documents for the reconstruction of this 800-student elementary school.

This project, currently in the conceptual design and master planning phase, entails the replacement of the existing Woodrow Wilson Elementary School, a kindergarten through sixth grade campus consisting primarily of wood-framed, single-story buildings and portables that have not been substantially altered since their original construction in the 1950s. Modernization measures include the complete demolition and removal of the existing school and site elements in their entirety and the construction of a brand new state-of-the art facility that will be designed to meet the needs of students and educators in the 21st century. The new campus will be designed to reflect the adoption by the West Contra Costa Unified School District of CHPS standards. The project will need to be phased to allow use of the existing campus during construction of the new facility.
